This one's a show-and-tell portfolio site to show off the design and writing chops of a certain writer-designer we know all too well.
Structure, organization and fast-loading were the watchwords for this site — with a little personality showing through the floorboards in places. The quirky funnel logo, the Miscellany pages and a few Today Cafe columns, for example.
FWIW, daily Today Cafe columns were born as a daily feature of our concept for a community Internet portal called Tehachapi Central. They turned out to be a fun and extremely popular way to keep the site fresh.
Since Licketyville fancies itself as the best designed small town in America, the Today Cafe columns from there often have a design spin. Think of this site feature as a content differentiation strategy.
